PST Supervisor

LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Mission Viejo, CA. 

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday hours will vary between 6am – 6pm based on coverage needs; Weekend hours may be required as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

Supervise a team of approximately 20-30 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in Southern California areaManage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels and information logsMonitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessaryCoordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinkingPerform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules and performance appraisalsPartner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actionsHire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positionsCommunicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior managementProvide exceptional customer service to all patients and clientsAssist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client OfficesProvide resolution of any patient or client issuesPerform, collect and prepare specimens when neededTravel to additional sites as necessary

 Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentValid California State issued Phlebotomy License

 Preferred Qualifications:

Associate or bachelor’s or master's degree3 or more years’ phlebotomy experience working in clinical / hospital environment2 or more years' assisting all patient groups (pediatric - geriatric)3 or more years' phlebotomy managerial or supervisory or team leader experience

Able to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime as neededAble to cover large geographical territory of approximately 400 milesAble to work in a fast paced / high volume work environmentExceptional customer serviceStrong communication skills; both written and verbalAbility to work independently or in a team environmentComfortable working under minimal supervisionBe at least 21 years oldValid Driver’s LicenseReliable transportation and clean driving record

As a Phlebotomy Supervisor you will lead a team of Phlebotomists and directly impact the Patient/Client experience. You will manage and oversee all aspects of our LabCorp patient service centers and designated client locations. This role emphasizes your ability to lead, inspire, and develop others

Pay Range: $32.00 - $45.42 per hour

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
