**About this opportunity\.\.\.**
Product Sourcing and Services \(PSS\) is a group within Ross that helps Merchants execute new product strategies in a changing retail environment\. Within PSS is an Analytics function to help track and understand key metrics and measures of success, work to identify patterns and areas for operational improvement and turn data into critical information and knowledge\.
The **PSS Senior Analyst** will design and build models, synthesize and communicate out on findings, and develop processes for maintaining reporting on a regular basis\. They will partner with other PSS functions to gather information needed to conduct analyses as well as share those findings to drive business results and improvement\.
The salary range for this role is $80,000\-$100,000\. The base salary is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location\. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees\. Other rewards vary by position and location\.
**What you will do and what you will learn\.\.\.**
+ Design, create, and maintain / automate comprehensive and well\-structured reporting to deliver key information on PSS Operations to business teams\. Build new tools to drive business analysis where needed and identify opportunities to improve existing reports\.
+ Develop insights and analytics from data/reports\. Summarize findings from analysis and communicate them to senior management, focus on calling out the "so what" or the key operational insights as a result of analysis\.
+ Work with senior members of the PSS team to identify new reporting needs and translate them into reports that are easily scalable and repeatable\. Own the execution of the analysis on a regular cadence \- including pulling data, gathering input from business partners, and running input through the model\. Automate the process where possible\.
+ Use a structured, data\-driven approach to problem solving to address PSS business needs / concerns\. This includes leveraging data to develop hypotheses and to diagnose business issues; analyzing and interpreting data to understand root cause issues; and summarizing key callouts / next steps to drive resolution\.
+ Identify opportunities to improve the end\-to\-end reporting process\. Look for ways to improve the speed and quality of information delivered\.
**What you need to be successful\.\.\.**
+ Bachelor's Degree with a concentration in Business, Economics, Finance, or an equivalent diploma
+ 3\+ years of relevant experience \(data analytics, financial planning & analysis, or consulting\)
+ Experience with large, structured database systems \(e\.g\., Business reporting systems\) and unstructured data management techniques
+ Experience managing and analyzing large datasets in Microsoft Excel
+ Experience with Power BI, SQL, R, or Visual Basic is a plus
+ Able to translate complex analytics/data sciences concepts into terms that are easily understood and accessible to business partners at various levels of seniority and sophistication with material
+ Ability to think critically and strategically
+ Strong problem\-solving skills
+ Ability to take initiative, multi\-task and work in a fast\-paced environment
