Job Description

The purpose of this role is to lead a large team of analysts in an effort to support our client in laboratory and manufacturing facilities. This team is focused on investigating samples and operations from the process sciences group in an effort to identify deviations and prepare batches for release. This individual must guide leaders and analysts to prioritize development of the team and scope of work given the amount of potential growth opportunity.

Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environmentOrganize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlinesMeet all quality and productivity metrics, and demonstrate strong teamwork and collaborationMonthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managersDisseminate administrative communicationsAssist Director with business operations as neededStays current science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients

QualificationsPhD preferred. At minimum a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experienceScientific background, specifically within analytical chemistry, and 3+ years of hands on laboratory experienceExperience working with monoclonal antibodiesStrong leadership and project management skillsA good understanding of day to day business operationsDemonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaborationStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesBusiness Management education or experience preferredAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed.  Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.
