**Job Title: PSNS Shipfitter - 1st Class** **Job Description** Join our dynamic team as a PSNS Shipfitter - 1st Class, where you will perform critical duties on Navy vessels. Your expertise in cutting and fitting parts for the repair and fabrication of vessels, tanks, and other structural assemblies will be essential. Proficiency in reading blueprints is required. **Responsibilities** + Cut and fit parts in position for repair and fabrication of vessels, tanks, or other structural assemblies. + Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate construction and repair. + Fit cast or forged components according to specifications and understand the welding characteristics of metal. + Use carbon electrode tools effectively. **Essential Skills** + Experience as a Shipfitter, preferably with Navy or shipyard experience. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Knowledge of fitting parts for fabrication of vessels and structural assemblies. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in pipefitting is a plus. + Familiarity with shipyard operations. **Why Work Here?** Working here offers you the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team working on significant Navy projects. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, including rain, sun, and snow. The work week typically ranges from 40 to 60 hours, with potential for 12-hour days, 7 days a week. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bremerton, Washington. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
