**Position:** **PS&T Scientist** **Reporting to:** **Head of MS&T** **Division:** **Established Pharmaceutical Division** **- Operation** **Location:** **Karachi -Landhi Plant** **Job Summary:** PS&T Scientists is responsible to support the Head of MS&T in key initiatives including product reformulation, alternate supplier qualification, and resolution of process-related challenges. The role is also responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of finished products by addressing technical issues and driving continuous improvement in existing formulations. **Major Responsibilities:** + Support alternate source qualification and material risk management + Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues to prevent backorders, in alignment with the Head of MS&T + Execute stability batches for new projects and evaluate critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs) + Monitor cGMP compliance within the MS&T area and review manufacturing directions + Maintain EHS, GMP, and GLP standards in the MS&T environment + Prepare and update SOPs for manufacturing equipment and systems, ensuring their implementation + Provide technical support for affiliate CI projects as needed + Develop bills of materials, manufacturing directions, and specifications for new materials and packaging + Prepare and review technical project packages related to formula/process changes and validation + Determine qualitative/quantitative formulas and evaluate suitable solvent systems for new formulations + Assist in bioequivalence evaluations and set in-process testing limits (e.g., friability, hardness, DT) + Ensure color matching and select appropriate manufacturing techniques for process efficiency **Education/Knowledge & Experience:** + Science Graduate/Master; preferably Pharm D + 2-3 years’ experience in the same capacity + Proficient in MS Office + Teamwork and problem-solving skills An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
