We are seeking a highly motivated Provider Relations Specialist II for a full remote role. This position requires strong multitasking skills to handle 20 calls daily, email correspondence, and billing concerns. The role involves having tough conversations related to billing and will be measured on daily metrics. As a liaison between the company and internal and external partners, you will develop and strengthen customer relationships by providing timely and accurate responses to inquiries, conducting analysis to solve problems, and occasionally providing guidance, coaching, and training to associates.
ResponsibilitiesAct as the main point of contact for dental providers regarding participation status, credentialing, and contract-related questions.Process new provider applications, credentialing requests, and changes to records.Respond to provider and member inquiries via phone, email, and voice mail with professionalism and accuracy.Manage queue-based tasks including provider additions, terminations, fee schedule updates, and contract maintenance.Review and submit audits, ensuring documentation meets compliance and credentialing standards.Support assigned groups, handling all communications and requests.Collaborate with internal departments and network leasing partners to ensure data consistency and proper contract loading.Investigate and help resolve complaints from providers and members, coordinating with Compliance when necessary.Mentor peers and assist with training new hires on systems and procedures.Attend team meetings and stay current on internal processes, policies, and industry regulations.Essential SkillsProficiency in data entry and customer support.Ability to multitask using various software programs, including current DOS-like systems.Experience with billing systems.Strong accountability, attention to detail, and adaptability to change.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree or equivalent is preferred.Open to candidates with diverse backgrounds, not necessarily in insurance.Experience is not mandatory, as training will be provided.Willingness to learn and work independently from home.Work EnvironmentThe position involves three days of in-office training in Lincoln, followed by remote work within Nebraska. Performance is tracked through daily processing numbers, functional metrics, audits, and personalized scorecards covering turnaround time, accuracy, customer service, and PTO. The role includes a flexible hybrid work schedule with training hours from Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, and Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM. Normal working hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:15 AM to 5:30 PM, and Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, with an option for a flex schedule of four 10-hour days. The dress code is 'dress for your day,' allowing sneakers and casual attire without holes in jeans. Training is intensive and lasts 6-12 months, emphasizing the need for a long-term commitment.
