Provider Recruitment Sourcing Specialist

The Provider Recruitment Sourcing Specialist plays a pivotal role in the proactive sourcing, engagement, and pipeline development of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. This position supports both academic and clinical recruitment efforts across UVA Health. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying and connecting with top provider talent, building robust relationships with training programs, and representing UVA Health at conferences and networking events (2–4 times annually). The Provider Recruitment Sourcing Specialist will partner closely with Provider Recruiters and department leaders to meet strategic workforce goals and align with long-term provider needs in both rural and urban settings.Proactive Sourcing Strategies: Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to identify, engage, and attract qualified Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants for current and future opportunities across UVA Health.Talent Pipeline Development: Build and maintain talent pipelines for key clinical and academic specialties while nurturing strong relationships with passive candidates.Event Representation: Represent UVA Health at regional and national medical conferences, residency and fellowship fairs, and recruitment events (travel required 2–4 times per year).Partnership Building: Establish partnerships with medical schools, residency and fellowship programs, and professional associations to enhance UVA’s visibility and talent pipeline.Candidate Management: Collaborate with Provider Recruiters to manage candidate outreach and screening for high-priority roles.Data Management: Maintain detailed sourcing and candidate data within applicant tracking systems and sourcing tools.Performance Tracking: Track sourcing metrics, report on sourcing activity, and regularly update recruitment teams and leadership on candidate pipeline progress.Collaborative Solutions: Work closely with Provider Recruiters and department leadership to assess hiring needs, identify potential gaps, and recommend strategic sourcing solutions.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of related experience in healthcare sourcing, provider recruitment, or talent acquisition. Experience in physician or APP recruitment strongly preferred.Licensure:

Strong sourcing and networking abilities using tools such as PracticeMatch, PracticeLink, Doximity, Linkedin, job boards, etc.Excellent verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.Ability to analyze and report on sourcing performance and trends.Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and applicant tracking systems.Self-starter with the ability to manage time, travel logistics, and competing priorities.Additional Information:
Work Type: Full-time (40 hours/week), option for minimum 32 hours per week if part time is preferred. Day to day work will be remote, travel and conference attendance will be in-person.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
