Provider Documentation Educator

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Educator, you will be a vital contributor to the planning, coordination, and delivery of essential healthcare-related educational and training programs.

Every day, you will actively assist in scheduling and conducting diverse healthcare training programs. You will also provide direct coordination and/or instruction in various educational initiatives, ensuring effective learning experiences for all participants.

To be successful in this role, you will combine strong organizational and presentation skills with a deep understanding of healthcare education, a passion for teaching, and the ability to effectively engage and train diverse groups of healthcare professionals and staff.

Utilizes aggregate data, research, and trends when developing education programs and/or assessing the effectiveness of documentation for area of specialty.Provides timely feedback to providers regarding documentation opportunities for improvement and successes.Coordinates and conducts regular meeting with HIM Coding Professionals to monitor retrospective query rate and address issues.Actively engages Case Management and RAC committee to continually evaluate and spearhead documentation improvement opportunities to reduce denials and support medical necessity.Conducts monthly communication with providers/leadership regarding documentation trends that need further documentation specificity.Participates in creation, implementation, and evaluation of provider documentation.
