Job Description
We are seeking experienced Propulsion Test Engineers to join our team at Kennedy Space Center, FL. As a key player in our engineering team, you will be responsible for performing critical test engineering activities to support spacecraft propulsion systems.
ResponsibilitiesPerform test engineering activities, including detailed operating procedure authoring and execution, to achieve test verification and vehicle production objectives.Engage in hypergolic propellant servicing.Develop and execute steps for component removal, replacement, and re-test on systems containing hypergolic propellants.Conduct leak testing of spacecraft propulsion systems.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.5 years of propulsion-related fluids test engineering experience on spacecraft.Experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test-related operations on hypergol-contaminated propellant systems.Experience in leak checking spacecraft fluid systems.Experience developing procedures for leak checks and functional testing of spacecraft hypergolic propellant systems.Experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment to pressurize flight hardware.Ability to lead technicians, QA team members, and other test engineers in executing tests.Strong troubleshooting skills to document and resolve non-conformances on both ground support equipment and flight hardware.Willingness to work overtime and off-shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsCurrent non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification.Current SCAPE/SAR certification.Work Environment
The position is based at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The work environment involves handling advanced aerospace technologies and requires adherence to safety standards when working with hypergolic propellants. Engineers should be prepared to work in shifts and may need to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
