Job Description
You will oversee the preparation and presentation of quotes, sales proposals, and contracts to the customer in compliance with company policies, obtaining the appropriated approvals. Work with Rockwell Sales to assess and respond to engineering, consulting, project and support services opportunities.
You will work together with customers, Rockwell Sales and Field Engineers/Consultants, to understand the functional requirements ensuring we expand and maximize the opportunity. You will understand the customers application needs and be able to scope a conceptual design for Rockwell Automation solutions, including Field Engineering Projects. You will report to Proposal Manager.
Your Responsibilities:You will oversee proposal generation against defined customer requirements. This also includes commercial T&C's.You will oversee the preparation and presentation of quotes, sales proposals, and contracts to the customer in compliance with company policies, obtaining the appropriated approvals.You will consult with other departments on issues like pricing, product specification, warranties and product adaptation to ensure that we provide the appropriate business and technical solution to the customer needs.You will analyze customer's requirements to determine the process control system solution and determine applicable control configuration/architecture.You will support sales efforts by assisting sales on pre-sales activities, demonstrating the LCS (Life Cycle Services) capabilities to create or coordinate effort estimates for engineering work.You will coordinate the progress of the bidding process.Coordinate proposal development proves working with multiple entities within the organization (contract management, finance team, global technical consulting team, Sales).The Essentials - You Will Have:8 or more years' experience in either Project-based Engineering role or Previous Proposal Experience in an Industrial Automation environment.BSc in Electrical Engineering discipline or equivalent engineering experience.Familiar with Allen Bradley/Rockwell products.Skills in defining automation solutions and costing for technical projects.Commercial flair to support Sales in winning proposed projects.Full working proficiency in both German and English.The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Background in industries like Life Science and Food and Beverage.Further education in engineering, computer science or project management.Control System Architecture Design (Client Server) experience.Experience using a CRM system.What We Offer:Our benefits package includes …
