We have an opportunity for a Proposal & Estimation Engineer to join us at Honeywell, in Prague. Proposal and Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparation of Proposals and estimation for Airfield Ground Lighting Systems, VDGS, NAVAIDs, communication and ATM systems as per Airport business bidding guidelines and procedures. This is a highly networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines. Overall planning & delivery responsibility with quality, high accuracy and on time proposal submission are essential. With a portfolio featuring software, hardware and services, Honeywell takes an outcome-focused approach to help building owners and operators improve safety and security, energy and operational efficiencies to create a better building experience. **_Helping to Transform Buildings to be Safer and More Operationally and Energy Efficient._** **Key responsibilities** + Responsible for preparing end to end solution development and estimation + Responsible for carefully analyzing the customer requirements, identify viable solutions options, select the right solution which is fully compliant and will provide a competitive edge Technically and commercially. + Prepare competent estimation and proposals for Airfield Lighting Systems, Airfield Lighting Control and Monitoring Systems, Visual Docking and Guidance systems, Navigational Aids(ILS, DME, DVOR etc), Radar Systems (SMR, PSSR), MLAT Systems, ASMGCS, Communication systems (Radios, Voice switch etc), Special Airport Operations systems (AODB, FIDS etc). + Raise and list questions to the Estimation/Bid manager that require further clarifications + Read the technical specifications and choose the appropriate components for various Airfield Systems, ICT systems, Network systems + Prepare System Architecture diagrams, component descriptions, solution description documents + Responsible for quantification, Prepare Bill of quantities, support Engineering draughtsman to prepare drawings + Perform Load calculations and identify CCR ratings and quantities + Send enquiries and coordinate with vendors/Supply chain for proposals. + Prepare Signs design using signs tools + Perform Price and Technical comparison/evaluation using market knowledge, Historic information for accurate estimates and proper choosing of solutions. + Carefully analyze and prepare Technical Compliance matrix. + Prepare and compile the overall estimate. + Responsible for the accuracy and quality of the estimates and solutions. + Review and ensure the Estimates & Proposals are Technically & Commercially fully compliant with the requirements. + Ensure timely delivery of the solution & estimates within the deadlines. + Prepare responses for Customer/Engineer clarifications and support the sales team in pre-sales support activities. + Support in the preparation of Technical documents and Pre-Qualification Documentation Submittals + Ensure that the right solution has been utilized, all estimation elements has been considered and also ensure the solutions are technically and commercially the best + Support, coordinate with team members constructively to achieve organizational goals. + Manage the bid requirements, approvals prior to submitting the bids **Key skills and qualifications** + B.E/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic / Computer Science Engineering + An ideal candidate should have 7+ years of work experience on Estimation of Advanced Visual docking and Guidance System and Airfield Ground Lighting systems, CNS/ATM systems. + Good knowledge on design of AGL (different categories) and A-VDGS + German & English Writing and speaking skills a must. + Knowledge on principles of operation & components of Airfield Lighting Systems, ALCMS, A-VDGS, NAVAIDS and ATM/ATC systems. + Exposed to the criteria for design of the visual aids including the airfield ground lighting (AGL) systems and A-VDGS, in accordance with Standards and Recommendations in ICAO, Annex 14, Aerodrome Design and Operations, and with ICAO´s Aerodrome Design Manuals. + Good Working Knowledge on Windows, Microsoft Office (Specially in Excel, Power point), Microsoft Project, Visio **We Offer** + Enjoy 25 vacation days per year + Recognition & referral bonus programs + Comprehensive induction, ongoing training and development to set you up for success, in-house and external learning platforms supporting development opportunities + Employee Assistance Program - Free and confidential service to help with any difficulties regarding work, life and personal or family matters + Frequent Employee Engagement activities fostering an inclusive and diverse work environment + Multisport Card, Makro Card, discount Vodafone and T-Mobile tariffs and multiple discount programs in our partner network We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
