This Position reports to:
Commercial Manager - AMR US
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB’s products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Solution Communication: Understand customer needs and effectively communicate how ABB’s mobile robotics solutions address those needs, including coordinating product demonstrations and building strong customer relationships.Proposal Development & Contract Support: Prepare and revise technical and commercial proposals, support contract negotiations, and compile documentation to report scope, terms, costs, and profitability.Technical Analysis & Risk Assessment: Conduct cost estimations, deadline planning, and flow analysis for new projects; participate in risk assessments and lost proposal evaluations to improve future outcomes.Sales Performance & Collaboration: Support achievement of sales targets and profitable growth, provide technical support during meetings, and collaborate with account managers and internal teams; domestic and international travel may be required.The work model for the role is: #LI-Hybrid based out of our Auburn Hills, MI facility (3 days per week minimum after on-site training)

Qualifications for the Role:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering highly preferred (Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or related field); a Master’s degree is a plus.You enjoy working with cost estimation, risk analysis, and proposal development methodologies within the industrial automation and mobile robotics market.Ability to demonstrate your experience in preparing technical and commercial proposals, with 3+ years of experience in proposal engineering, technical sales, project engineering, or project estimation.Possess an enhanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (especially Excel), AutoCAD, and other 3D tools.You are passionate about analytical thinking, problem-solving, and clear communication with a customer-focused mindset.You are at ease communicating in English, both written and verbal, for technical and commercial discussions. Spanish is a plus.Possess work authorization to work permanently in the US without visa sponsorshipWhat’s in it for you?
