Proposal Benefits Analyst
Description We are looking for a highly skilled Proposal Benefits Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the development and delivery of accurate and reliable commercial group proposals, ensuring client and member satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Responsibilities: • Create, review, and audit proposals for new and renewing large group clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and operational standards. • Collaborate with sales executives and underwriters to interpret sales requests and deliver precise proposal packages. • Develop and maintain Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC) documents, ensuring alignment with Certificates of Coverage (COCs) and other benefit plan materials. • Prepare benefit change grids and link SBCs to member portals, adhering to product and federal guidelines. • Act as a liaison between sales, underwriting, and operational teams to facilitate group business development and benefits administration activities. • Monitor workflow and proposal assignments to ensure timely completion of deliverables. • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Salesforce CRM to manage and create proposal-related documentation. • Ensure all proposal materials and benefit documents meet high standards of quality and accuracy. • Interpret and analyze competitor benefit information to ensure alignment and accuracy with company standards. • Provide expert support for benefit-related inquiries and assist in resolving issues as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in benefits administration, proposal development, or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe, as well as familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and compare benefit plan documents. • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on accuracy and clarity. • Knowledge of federal guidelines and compliance requirements related to benefit plans. • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and maintain a high level of business acumen. • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
