Property Tax Associate
Crowe LLP –Property Tax is searching for a Property Tax Associate/Staff to assist with real estate property tax preparation. This position will involve reconciling data and timely filing returns in all municipalities that tax real estate property. The position will also involve finding and tracking assessment notices as well as processing tax bills. The preferred candidate will have experience with PTMS and with tracking and reports in the software.

Prepare Property Tax returnsReview property tax assessments and tax bills, preparing appeals when necessary or advisedReviewing prior year tax protest results and identifying areas of improvementOversee and respond to property tax notices and requests from various taxing authorities.Conduct tax research and stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations.Receive and file online property assessment/value notices.Document and record new property acquisitions, construction cost, or any information pertaining to personal property.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited college/university or CMI (Certified Member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation) preferred.Strong knowledge of property valuation and tax protest hearings.Familiarity with multi-state local appraisal districts.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and strong math skills.Timely, reliable, strong time management and organizational skills.Detail-oriented with exceptional research and assertive negotiation skillsOpen to various special projects which facilitate learning and coordination with other groups.Experience with PTMSWe expect the candidate to uphold Crowe’s values of Care, Trust, Courage, and Stewardship.
