Property Tax Analyst
**Minimum qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent practical experience. + 4 years of experience in a corporate tax function (e.g., property tax) or a related analytical role like valuation or financial analysis (e.g., tax consulting firm). + Experience performing analysis on datasets, using tools like SQL, Python, or Alteryx for data validation, financial modeling, or translating data into actionable information. + Experience building relationships and communicating with internal and external stakeholders. **Preferred qualifications:** + Experience with property tax compliance and valuation matters in various jurisdictions. + Experience with SAP. + Experience working in a fluid environment, balancing teamwork and separately working with a customer-centric focus. + Ability to organize voluminous quantifies of complex tax data using software tools. + Ability to demonstrate meticulous attention to detail with a focus on accuracy. + Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage datasets (e.g., SQL). You have years of experience in this field and an extensive knowledge of those tax issues most relevant to internet companies. You find ways to work smarter by streamlining and automating our tax processes and systems, and find ways to be both innovative and compliant. The Property Tax Analyst will play a pivotal role in the end-to-end management of the company's property tax function. You will be responsible for supporting tax planning, compliance, assessments, and audits for real and personal property. This role requires developing sophisticated databases and models to analyze tax data, identify opportunities for tax savings, and mitigate risk. In close collaboration with tax experts, finance leaders, and various business units, you will help resolve complex tax positions, support audit requests, and ensure the timely and accurate filing of all property tax returns. Your work will directly contribute to optimizing efficiency and establishing policies that minimize the company's tax exposure. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $113,000-$162,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google . **Responsibilities:** + Participate in special projects/studies around tax incentives, financial records and systems, investment planning, tax modeling, valuation analysis, and other property tax projects. + Assist in coordinating with outside advisors to ensure compliance with property tax filings, audits/appeals, bill payments, and tax planning. + Support the build and development of property tax calculations for Google properties. + Develop databases and models and conduct in-depth analysis of tax data for audits, compliance, valuation, and due diligence projects. + Collaborate with tax, various cross-functional teams, and outside service providers in resolving complex tax positions and assist in establishing policies and procedures for tax position analysis and documentation to minimize tax exposure.
