Property Manager
Description Robert Half is currently sourcing for an experienced Property Manager for a part-time contract role with a reputable company located in South Lake Tahoe, CA. In this part-time contract role, you will play a key part in maintaining positive resident relationships, overseeing property operations, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to managing leasing activities, addressing resident concerns, and collaborating with vendors and maintenance teams. Responsibilities: • Cultivate strong relationships with residents, vendors, and property staff to foster a positive community environment. • Drive occupancy rates by marketing available units, conducting property tours, and following up with prospective tenants. • Manage compliance processes for Section 8 and Tax Credit properties, including certifications and recertifications. • Assist residents in completing housing-related documentation, such as Social Security, VA benefits, and Medicaid paperwork. • Coordinate leasing activities, move-ins, and unit turnovers to ensure smooth transitions. • Address resident issues promptly and work with maintenance teams to resolve concerns. • Handle rent collection, monitor payment delinquencies, and implement solutions as needed. • Conduct regular inspections of the property to maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall quality. • Collaborate with maintenance staff and vendors to manage repairs and upkeep. • Perform accounting tasks, including invoicing and financial tracking. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in property management or a related field. • Strong knowledge of Section 8 and Tax Credit property compliance. • Certification or training in Fair Housing Compliance is preferred. • Familiarity with REACs, MORs, and compliance reporting is a plus. • Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office. • Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with residents and stakeholders. • Understanding of leasing, marketing, and property management principles. • Ability to manage vendor relationships and oversee property maintenance.
