Develop and customize insurance policies that meet the needs of clients while ensuring profitability for the insurance company. Set appropriate coverage limits, premiums, and terms and conditions.
Approve or deny insurance applications based on risk assessments. Make recommendations for coverage adjustments or additional protective measures.
Work closely with insurance agents, brokers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide underwriting decisions. Collaborate with claims adjusters to review claims and adjust underwriting guidelines as needed.
Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the property insurance sector. Adjust underwriting strategies to remain competitive and compliant.
Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions and policy details.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from clients and agents. Educate clients on policy options and risk management strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in any field and from a reputable university
Minimum have 3 years as Property & Engineering underwriter
Strong understanding of insurance principles, risk assessment, and policy structures.
