Description Job Title: Temporary Occupancy Specialist Assignment Type: Contract/Temporary Location: San Jose Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Occupancy Specialist to provide temporary support at a low-income/tax credit property. This role will focus on assisting the property management team with compliance-related tasks, resident file audits, and occupancy certifications to help the team catch up on critical documentation and ensure program compliance. Key Responsibilities: + Review, update, and maintain resident files to ensure full compliance with LIHTC and other affordable housing program requirements. + Assist with processing interim and annual recertifications. + Support rent calculations and income verifications. + Collaborate with site staff to resolve discrepancies and gather missing documentation. + Ensure timely data entry into property management systems and prepare files for audit readiness. Requirements Qualifications: + Prior experience in affordable housing, specifically with LIHTC or other HUD programs. + Knowledge of income limits, rent restrictions, and occupancy standards. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. + Experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, Boston Post) is a plus.
