Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership and gain exposure to property management operations, acquisitions, and financial audits. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and demonstrate strong accounting skills to support the financial success of our portfolio. Responsibilities: • Perform daily posting of tenant payments and accounts payable while managing invoice processing. • Assist with month-end procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial reporting. • Provide support during mid-term reviews and year-end audits to uphold financial integrity. • Collaborate with ownership and operations teams on tasks such as setting up systems for newly acquired properties. • Maintain accurate and organized financial records related to property management. • Utilize software tools such as Rent Manager and Excel to streamline accounting processes. • Partner with team members to address accounting inquiries and contribute to process improvements. Requirements • At least 1 year of experience in property accounting or a related field. • Proficiency in month-end close procedures and general ledger management. • Strong skills in bank reconciliations and journal entry preparation. • Familiarity with accounting software tools, including Rent Manager and Excel. • Ability to work collaboratively within a tight-knit team environment. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Demonstrated knowledge of financial audits and reporting standards.
