News10 ABC in Albany, New York is hiring a full-time Promotion Coordinator for the Sales Department. The coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, and executing promotional strategies that drive sales for the station and enhance brand visibility for our clients. This role works closely with sales, marketing, creative services, production, news, operations, and programming teams to organize integrated campaigns that support commercial clients while promoting initiatives that align with station and client objectives.
Key responsibilities include managing sponsorships and promotions, coordinating contests and sweepstakes, and ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. This role also assists AEs and management with Nielsen and ComScore reporting. The role requires strong communication, writing and organization skills, creativity, project management, media sales knowledge, and a solid understanding of broadcast and digital platforms.
Manage all station annual and non-annual sponsorships and all projectsBuild sponsorship packages and pricing in collaboration with DOS and SMsConsult with sales team to generate ideas and recommendations for prospective clientsMaintain organized workflows and strong project management practices.Provide proof of performance to clientsConduct Bi-weekly Cross-Promotions meeting with departments to discuss upcoming projects, innovative ideas, and problem-solve issuesResolve any viewer / buyer related issueManage community-related sponsorshipsWrite, schedule and traffic contest promotional Billboards and promos as needed. Write all contesting rules, consulting with Nexstar Legal as necessary for contesting questions, and rule review.ABC and Fox Affiliate relations – coordinate with networks for Promercial opportunities including sponsor pre-approvals and Promercial final approvalsBuild contests on third-party platformNielsen and ComScore researchPerform other duties as assigned.Skills/Requirements:
Detail orientated with strong organizational skills.Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skillsMinimum five years’ experience in broadcasting.Leadership ability, positive attitude and creativitySalary & Benefits:
Range: $24.00 - $27.00
