Projects Officer
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Project Management, Business/Public Administration, or related field Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Business Management, or Energy Studies (advantageous) PMP or PRINCE2 certification (desirable) Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in project management, regulatory support, or energy sector coordination Strong knowledge of the Electricity Regulation Act and the electricity supply industry Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to manage multiple priorities Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
Assist in planning, scoping, and defining project objectives, deliverables, and timelines for divisional and cross-functional regulatory projects
Develop and maintain project plans, charters, risk registers, and progress tracking systems
Coordinate inputs from different departments to ensure project milestones are met
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor progress of divisional projects against set timelines and deliverables
Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and presentations for submission
Identify potential risks and propose mitigation actions  
Administrative and Logistical Support:
Organize and document project meetings, including minutes, action lists, and follow-up tracking
Assist with budget planning, procurement coordination, and resource allocation for project implementation
Maintain project records, templates, and databases
Stakeholder and Communication Support:
Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders involved in regulatory projects
Assist in drafting correspondence, project briefs, and stakeholder communication materials
Support stakeholder consultations, workshops, and training sessions linked to electricity regulatory reforms
Research and Knowledge Support:
Conduct background research and benchmarking on regulatory and market-related developments
Compile information and analysis to support policy, rulemaking, and compliance initiatives
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices
 Performance and Governance Alignment:
Ensure all projects are aligned to strategic objectives, Annual Performance Plan, and governance frameworks
Support compliance with internal audit, reporting, and quality assurance requirements.
