Job Title: Projects Methods & Reporting Engineer
Role Overview
The Projects Methods & Reporting Engineer plays a pivotal role in supporting procurement strategy execution, performance monitoring, and reporting across multiple project packages. This position serves as the focal point for the development and implementation of Major Projects Management System Procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities Procurement & Vendor Management Implement and refine procurement strategies tailored to individual project packages. Support procurement engineers in vendor engagement and expediting activities to ensure timely delivery. Monitor procurement cycles and analyze trends to identify performance improvements. Evaluate vendor performance and provide insights into market conditions. Assist in tendering activities and ensure alignment with procurement strategy and timelines. Oversee contractor reporting to ensure compliance and performance standards. SAP System Optimization Continuously improve SAP processes within company major projects department. Provide technical expertise in SAP modules including: Financial Accounting (FI) Controlling (CO) Materials Management (MM) Plant Maintenance (PM) Work Order Management Organizational Methods & Reporting Develop and maintain internal company major projects department procedures under company CMS, including templates and tools for: Contract & Procurement Strategy Budgeting & Cost Control Scheduling & Reporting Documentation Control HR Administration Support the implementation of project organizational documents and presentations (e.g., Project Execution Plan). Conduct internal audits and reviews with the Quality Lead to ensure procedural compliance. Prepare KPIs for company major projects department dashboards and individual project reporting. Update procurement dashboards, supply chain reports, and ATEX dossiers. Communication & Documentation Draft memos, minutes, and tender bulletins. Format, update, track tender, and contract documentation. Manage internal and external project communications, including intranet updates and media requests. Ensure strict confidentiality of all managed data and information. Training & Development Prepare and manage company major projects department Training Matrix for management approval. Supervise induction and training presentations. Coordinate training requirements and manage training providers. Gather lessons learned and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Education Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering. Experience Minimum 10 years in the upstream oil & gas industry. At least 5 years in a similar role within a large oil & gas organization. Strong familiarity with project procedures and management system standards. Technical Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Knowledge of Project Management Standards and ISO 9001. Personal Attributes Strong team player with leadership and communication skills. High attention to detail and critical thinking. Open-minded and committed to sharing knowledge. Excellent technical writing skills. Certified Master Trainer. Fluent in English.
