Project Engineer – Airfield/Aviation
We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the delivery of complex engineering and construction projects across Australia. This is a hands-on role, ideal for an engineer looking to build strong project delivery experience within a dynamic, site focused environment.
Working closely with the Project Manager and project team, you will play a key role in coordinating documentation, procurement, site activities, and stakeholder engagement to ensure safe, efficient, and successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Support end to end project delivery, including project setup, execution, and close out
Assist with preparation, maintenance, and control of project documentation
Coordinate procurement activities, material orders, and equipment through SAP or similar systems
Provide day to day technical and administrative support to the Project Manager
Proven experience in airfield lighting and/or construction processes, with exposure to project-based site activities, installation, commissioning, and compliance requirements.
Minimum of 3+ years experience in airfield lighting and construction processes is required
Coordinate site access, travel, accommodation, and workforce logistics
Conduct onsite quality and safety inspections
Assist with reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders as delegated
About You
Experience in construction, electrical, infrastructure, or project based environments
Minimum of 3-5 year's experience in construction, electrical, or infrastructure projects is required
Exposure to aviation systems or airfield lighting projects is highly regarded
Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
Ability to work across multiple projects in a fast paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Basic knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is required
