As a Measurement Solutions **Lead Project Engineer** , you will be part of the Emerson team based preferably in Porsgrunn, responsible for providing winning proposals on large project pursuits, and become the trusted sales partner of the Measurement Solutions (MSOL) Project Pursuit leader & Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Account manager. Another focus will be ensuring that customer requirements are understood, co-develop a bid strategy with the MSOL Project Pursuit & EPC Account manager, ensure right product tiering is applied, engage with 3rd party suppliers for best price positioning, review & select deviations & compliance, work with the pursuit leader to determine optimal discount levels for maximum profitability, support delegation of authority requests. Support the Project Engineers during the execution of the projects as required.

**In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Lead the creation of project proposals for Measurement Solutions in collaboration with the project pursuit leader, ensuring competitive and winning bids;
+ Act as the main contact for the local sales team on quotation requests to the Project Management Operations team;
+ Apply tiered product offerings to enhance pricing, minimize discounting, and improve profitability;
+ Collaborate with product specialists, supply chain, and the Engineer To Order team to develop compliant, cost-effective technical and commercial solutions;
+ Ensure compliance of user documentation while maintaining minimal cost;
+ Conduct risk and opportunity assessments and prepare clear proposal summaries for commercial approvals;
+ Support the Project Manager during execution, taking full technical responsibility for the delivered solution;
+ Ensure timely processing of orders and delivery of documentation, attending customer meetings or inspections when needed;
+ Increase project scope and profitability where possible;
+ Lead and mentor project engineers, fostering technical excellence and teamwork;
+ Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete instrumentation portfolio.

Your ability to see the big picture while managing details ensures both competitive bids and successful project delivery.
**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ A relevant engineering degree;
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in field instrumentation;
+ Strong technical expertise in instrumentation;
+ Proven experience in direct client interaction and expectation management;
+ Willingness and ability to travel as required;
+ Proficiency in **English and Norvegian;**
**Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:**
+ Demonstrated experience leading technical proposal teams for large projects;
+ Familiarity with EPC project cycles and contract negotiation;
+ Proficiency with financial impact analysis in a project context;
+ Experience coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.
