HOW A PROJECT/TASK SR MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Provides technical, administrative, and operational management to assigned projects or task(s), including contract and subcontractor managementParticipates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, schedules and task order and administrative reportingMay perform high level technical services on assigned task(s)Conducts planning and provides recommendations to client on task workloadManages risk tracking processAttends customer meetings and may serve as client liaisonInteracts with vendors, other agencies, and other client staff and stakeholdersCoordinates development of deliverables and productsEnsures quality assurance of project deliverablesMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedPreferred Skills and Abilities:
Federal experience supporting financial application development, Operations & Maintenance, migration and modernizationStrong leadership skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies.Ability to work well under pressure and effectively manage competing priorities.Anticipates future customer, industry, and business trends and applies this understanding to complex problems to meet project objectives.As appropriate, challenges the validity of given procedures and processes with a view toward enhancement or improvement. Analyzes information and situations and implements actions independently and or through the management team, to ensure project objectives are met.Effective organizational skillsStrong written and oral communication skillsProven ability to handle simultaneous assignments and meet stringent deadlinesComprehensive knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in Project ManagementKnowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint, JIRA, Excel, PowerPoint and WordTimeline/schedule driven
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Location:
Washington DC, Falls Church, Virginia or Philadelphia, PATravel:
Up to 10%. Travel may include attending in person client meetings and project discussions as needed.
