Description of Job
Elections Division
The Elections Division supervises elections in the State of Colorado. The Division supports 64 counties in planning and executing elections that comply with relevant federal and state election laws.
Within the Division, the project management and support team serves to improve Division programs through managing projects, supporting and maintaining the Division's performance metrics program, advising in the strategic planning process, monitoring trends and industry standards, collaborating with other teams to collect and analyze data, structuring large datasets to find useful information, visualizing data using graphs and infographics, developing process improvements, supporting employee engagement, and identifying and addressing short-term problems that are hindering the operational efficiency and effectiveness of Division programs while implementing long term solutions to bring about positive changes in Division operations.

As Project Support Team Manager , you will be a valued member of the Elections Division. The Elections Division continues to be recognized as a leader, both in Colorado and nationally, in administering and supervising local, state, and federal elections. In this position, you will experience leading a high-functioning professional team. The ideal candidate will be a critical and analytical thinker with strong data analysis abilities . To succeed in this role, it is important that you have outstanding project management skills and are able to manage using clear communication and an understanding of interpersonal relationships .
The position will supervise the Project Management and Support Team in supporting the Division through:
+ managing projects.
+ analyzing and documenting processes.
+ collecting, analyzing, and visualizing data.
+ developing process improvements.
+ assisting with procurement activities.
Duties to include:
Supervision of the Project Management & Support Team
+ Plan, prioritize, assign, analyze and monitor workflow, and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
+ Review progress to ensure the quality and quality of work meets standards and deadlines for deliverables to meet program goals and objectives.
+ Establish work schedules, review, and approve worktime and absences.
+ Resolve problems, performance issues, disputes, and informal grievances and initiate corrective action or recommend discipline as needed.
+ Provide feedback and coaching, write performance plans, and complete evaluations.
Manage Data Collection & Analysis
+ Conduct advanced analysis on large and complex datasets collected from multiple sources.
+ Apply statistical methods, data mining techniques, and predictive modeling to extract meaningful insights.
+ Use data to identify inequities and their root causes.
+ Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and summaries to analytical findings and recommendations for diverse audiences.
Manage Design of Data Visualization & Graphics
+ Collaborate with Division management, program managers, communications team, and other appropriate stakeholders to identify the need for data visualizations and graphs.
+ Create compelling visual representations of data using charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards to communicate findings effectively to internal and external stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a total of8 yearsof r elevant professional experience and/or education in a field of study related to the work. To be considered for this position, your application mustclearly demonstrate that you meet one of the following options outlined below:
OPTION 1 – Experience
Eight years of professional experience that must include managing, analyzing, and visually presenting data; overseeing projects and processes; and formally supervising a team of data analyst professionals.
