The DHBI seeks to reduce the proportion of the population who develop depression and help those with depression get and stay well. This initiative includes a signature study that will use modern research tools to understand individual susceptibility to different drivers of depression and improve health behaviors in multiple high-risk populations that could most benefit from a focus on prevention. This position will start mainly on the currently described project, with the potential to assist with other projects. The Project Manager will work closely with the Managing Director as well as the Program Manager. The ideal candidate should be passionate about clinic partnerships, improving mental health care, and team organization and protocols, as well as cultivating a collaborative and productive team dynamic. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with the highest levels of integrity, attention to detail, and resourcefulness who can work independently with minimal supervision. They must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize effectively, exercise good judgment, and meet deadlines. The ideal candidate will work with diverse teams of people in a diplomatic, collaborative, and effective manner. Due to the remote nature of this project, most work is currently being conducted through telework. However, the Project Manager will need to come into the office for brief periods of time. **Responsibilities*** **Project leadership and strategic direction:** + Has oversight for researchers and staff engaged in day-to-day operations. + Serves as the central point of contact for study status and updates + Manages study logistics to include accurate and timely tracking and reporting. + Leads and coordinates with all staff to create and report on workplan progress and deliverables. + Maintains, evaluates and improves processes and systems for cross team reporting and communication. + Establishes clinic partnerships to initiate study throughout Michigan Medicine. + Serves as liaison between DHBI and internal/external funders and partners. **Supervisory management:** + Provides study specific training, guidance, and oversight. + Develops work plans, professional development goals, and conducts performance reviews. + Provides coaching and feedback. + Manages hiring, onboarding, and training, and conducts staff check in meetings. + Conducts intake, screening, interviews, and decisions for applicants, and coordinates with supervisors for position posting, pay rate, and hours of work. + Refines and updates training procedures and materials. + Oversees training process, delegates trainers for new employees. + Coordinates schedules, time off requests, time sheet coordination. + Advocates for space, phones, and resources needed. + Regular Management meeting with Managing Director and Program Manager. **Regulatory:** + Oversees regulatory compliance for multiple studies and ensures adherence to approved protocols. + Coordinates with supervisees on all project objectives and monitoring of study progress. + Works with institutional review boards and compliance. **Required Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree + 4+ years of professional experience in project coordination or project management + Demonstrated experience managing complex research or data projects + Previous supervisory experience + Previous experience managing stakeholder relationships + Experience in creating detailed workflows and guides for staff training and protocol adherence **Desired Qualifications*** + Master's in public health, social work, or related field + Michigan Medicine research experience + Experience with Mental Health Research + Experience working with clinical teams **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. This term-limited appointment does not create a contract or guarantee of employment for any period of time as you will remain subject to disciplinary or other performance measures, up to and including termination, at the will of the University in accordance with existing University policy and standards for employee performance and conduct. **Background Screening** Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
