Job Description

The primary role of the Project/Program Manager (Non-IT) is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in fields such as engineering research and development, financial systems, and product roll-outs, among other non-IT based projects.

ResponsibilitiesCoordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.Analyze technology resource needs and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.Review, recommend, or approve contracts and cost estimates.Address customer concerns and manage communication effectively.Handle commercial situations from a customer standpoint, including changes in schedules, project requirements, and change orders.Lead meetings once submittals are approved and handed off to the execution team, including production, shipment, and startup meetings with the field team.Manage order entry, change order management, and cost management.Essential SkillsStrong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one's time effectively.Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods.Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office 365.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.PMI or PMP certification preferred.5-7 years of experience in managing multiple simultaneous projects involving cross-functional technical teams within budgetary and schedule constraints.Experience dealing with multiple disciplines such as contractors, consultants, engineering, sales, purchasing, and commissioning agents.Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.Highly commercial with experience and savvy.Work Environment

The position is fully onsite with a Monday to Friday schedule, working the 1st shift. The role is commercially focused and requires strong communication and coordination across teams.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
