Project Planner

We are currently recruiting for a Project Planner to work on a major renewable energy construction project to successfully develop, implement and maintain the project schedule analysis and report. Our client operates in the renewable energy sector on a global basis and have a major renewable energy project currently in construction in Queensland
Location- Regional Queensland (2.5-hour drive from Brisbane)
Duration- Fixed Term contract until July 2024
Roster- DIDO – 10 / 4 Roster (Vehicle provided)
Responsibilities Develop, implement and maintain up to date management of project schedule Preparation, monitoring and updating of the project schedule during the current development phase and onward throughout the project life-cycle through to project completion Participate in internal, external and contract discussions regarding activity, scheduling and prioritisation Production of monthly internal and external reports including S-curves, man-hours, milestone tables, critical path analysis Develop relationships across the project to facilitate maintenance and tracking of the schedule Develop project reporting content for coordination and monthly progress meetings in accordance with contractual obligations Develop look ahead for effective planning of works Proactive preparation and assessment of what-if scenarios Produce fortnightly updates of master schedules for the project Attend daily coordination meetings to actively update and drive the critical path
Required Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in project scheduling on large complex infrastructure projects Wind project construction experience highly regarded Demonstrate an interest and understanding of renewable energy, energy market, technology and applications Formal training in project programming software (preferably Primavera) tools and processes, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise work, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines, and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands A team player and a clear communicator. Current Driver’s License. Qualifications / Trainings Degree qualified in engineering or other relevant discipline (desirable)
