Project Payroll
Position Summary
The Prevailing Wage & Compliance Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing all wage compliance and reporting requirements for HUD and MSHDA projects. This role brings work currently handled by a third-party consulting firm in-house, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, subcontractor compliance, and uninterrupted project draw payments. The position will support multiple concurrent projects and collaborate closely with Accounting, HR, and external subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all prevailing wage and compliance reporting for HUD and MSHDA-funded construction projects
Prepare, submit, and maintain required wage reports and compliance documentation on a recurring (monthly/project-based) basis
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure all required documentation is submitted, accurate, and up to date
Verify subcontractor compliance with federal and state requirements, including SAM.gov registration and reporting standards
Monitor compliance timelines to prevent delays in project draw payments
Serve as the internal point of contact for wage reporting and compliance questions
Work cross-functionally with Accounting and HR (HR retains responsibility for payroll processing)
Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and project reviews
Provide administrative and accounting support during downtime as capacity allows
Projects & Workload Context
Approximately six (6) HUD/MSHDA projects anticipated between mid-March and fall of the year
Projects staggered across multiple start dates, requiring ongoing monthly reporting
Role replaces a third-party consulting service currently billing on a per-project, per-month basis
Reporting Structure
Reports directly to the Accounting Controller
Works closely with the HR Director and Accounting team
M-F, 4 days onsite 1 remote

Preferred Qualifications

Accounting, payroll compliance, or project-based financial reporting experience
Experience transitioning work from third-party vendors to in-house operations
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Southfield, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
