Key Responsibilities:
Project Management and Evaluation
Liaise with project coordinator and effectively implement activities as per the approved operational guidelinesMaintain quality through complianceTimely coordination and consultation with respective portfolio or respective technical specialist to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.Prudently manage project budget by keeping monthly expense tracker to make informed decision on project budget management and reviewing the monthly financial report to ensure correct chargingAnalyze, interpret and use correct T6 codes, log frame for implementationRepresentation & Networking
Spend at least 90% of time in engaging with communities for implementationDevelop and maintain links with NGO’s Local Level authoritiesDevelop and maintain donor relationship for adequate funding needs and discussions on utilization Coordinate and communicate donor visits efficiently with management and effectively host donor visitsHigh Quality of Documentation
Ensure reports are submitted in a timely manner meeting reporting requirementManage and support project assessments and evaluationsPresent Regular progress reports at appropriate meeting’sSubmit monthly reportsCapacity Building & Team Management
Provide leadership to train and build community capacity on appropriate actions or as per project designTrain leaders in communitiesEnsure regular learning and reflection sessions with communities and appropriateEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Project Management, Agriculture and/ or any natural sciences would be excellent.3-5 years’ experience in community development or in a relief setting with project management experience.Any experience and familiarity in living and working in Southern Highlands Province and/or any highlands provinces Experience in project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivityEffective in written and oral communication; able to speak and write with a high standard of EnglishThorough knowledge of MS Office,Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina.Strong knowledge of project management, accounting practices, and donor regulations and requirements.Proven ability to adapt and perform well in high-pressure and dynamic work environments and situations.Fluency in English is required.
