**Job Description** BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Project Specialist to support production, facilities, and construction projects conducted at the Holston and Radford Army Ammunition Plants. In this role within the Program Management Office (PMO), the Project Specialist will provide direct support to Program and Project Managers across the full spectrum of project execution including proposal generation, cost and schedule management, project monitoring and control, Procurement activities, subcontract management, quality control, communications, risks/opportunities management, scope/change management, functional support coordination (Engineering, Safety, Environmental, Security, etc.), and the preparation of meeting agendas, minutes, and other supporting documentation. Responsibilities: + Support interface with subcontractorsto ensure projects are completed on time and within budget constraints + Support development of project schedules, work packages, and execution plans + Partner with Procurement Department to obtain bid quotations from subcontract and materials suppliers + Track and report project cost and schedule performance + Prepare and update project documents + Coordinate project activities, resources, and information to support project success + Manage team member communications including requests, alerts, and reminders + Monitor project progress and handle issues as they arise + Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all project members + Maintain project document archive + Support preparation of meeting minutes, action item tracking, and presentation development + Support preparation and track project deliverables + Support engagement across cross-functional teams + Prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities to meet deadlines + Understand requirements of the project team and participate in collaborative problem solving + Track and report RFI s, Submittals, Change Orders, and Payment Milestones as required **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience + Ability to support planning, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation + Ability to monitor performance through KPIs/metrics and identify risks and opportunities + Ability to effectively work with subcontractors and cross-functional teams + Strong communication and collaboration skills + Strong attention to detail + Proficient in MS Office **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience in Project Management/Project Execution + Experience in DoD, Chemical Manufacturing, or Industrial Construction **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $79370 - $134929 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
