At Parker, our team members belong, matter and make a difference. JOB SUMMARY The Project Manager plans, monitors and manages internal project(s) from initiation through completion. Engages internal resources to ensure project delivery is on time and aligned with project requirements and objectives. Applies professional principles, practices and techniques to lead project processes while controlling cost, performance and risk. The primary duties of this job requires administrative, non-manual work directly related to business operations involving responsibility for processes and policies of significance, evaluation of possible solutions and results of the work for which the employee is responsible and making recommendations and/or decisions accordingly using professional judgment. Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES + Plans, coordinates, implements and finalizes projects according to specifications and deadlines, while keeping the project within budget. + Defines the project’s objectives, creates schedules and oversees quality control throughout the entire project. + Works with other participants to complete project scope, goals and deliverables, while adhering to the budget and timing constraints. + Creates schedules and reviews timeline objectives with team in order to estimate efforts required to reach objectives. + Identifies, assesses and minimizes risks throughout the project lifecycle, seeking to prevent losses. + Monitors project budgets; reviewing expense reports to determine if allocated funds are managed properly. + Tracks and reports milestones and provides status reports to requesting department/team. + Develops improvements and innovations to enhance performance of the Project Management Team. + Lead proposal preparation activities, including scope definition, cost estimation, and schedule development, to ensure timely and compliant submissions. + Manage bookings by tracking contract awards, monitoring backlog, and coordinating with finance and operations to ensure accurate revenue forecasting and alignment with business objectives. + Develop and maintain bookings forecasts by analyzing customer demand, backlog, and delivery schedules to ensure accurate revenue projections and alignment with business plans. + Other responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities required) **MUST BE A US PERSON: US CITIZEN OR LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT** EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE + Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S./B.S.c/B.Eng) from four-year college or university or equivalent, and two to four years related experience. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required (certification must be obtained from Project Management Institute within 6 months from date of hire). + Engineering background is preferred with a M.S. or MBA preferred. + Proposal preparation and FAR knowledge and experience desired. + Professional certificate a plus. + Strong background in project management methodology. + Possess a strong technical background to understand and evaluate the technical specifications, requirements and capabilities associated with the project. + Requires working knowledge of military/aerospace industry standards. + Experience preparing Status Reports, proposals desired, as well as contract management and export administration experience.
