Job Overview
The Field Project Manager is responsible for managing construction-related projects of varying size and complexity, ensuring successful execution from inception through completion. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned with safety, quality, and performance standards.
This position will oversee two (2) Digital Realty (DLR) Data Centers in the Manassas, VA area, managing active commissioning and future project phases through 2026–2027.
Key Responsibilities Project Management & Execution
+ Lead multiple construction projects from initiation through closeout
+ Facilitate project planning sessions to define scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables
+ Develop and manage project plans, schedules, timelines, and performance goals
+ Track progress against schedule, budget, and performance metrics
Field & Construction Oversight
+ Manage on-site activities including commissioning, safety leadership, and issue resolution
+ Coordinate and lead on-site and stakeholder meetings
+ Oversee resource scheduling and contractor coordination
+ Serve as on-site safety lead, ensuring compliance with safety standards
Risk, Quality & Issue Management
+ Identify, track, and mitigate project risks using quality and risk management tools
+ Resolve issues collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
+ Develop alternative solutions when project challenges arise
Financial & Documentation Management
+ Monitor project budgets and track invoices
+ Maintain project documentation including notes, schedules, CX documentation, and reports
+ Ensure accurate recordkeeping in project databases and tracking tools
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
+ Communicate project status, risks, and updates to project sponsors and stakeholders
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams and individuals from diverse backgrounds
+ Document lessons learned and share best practices with other teams
Team Leadership & Development
+ Assign appropriate resources to project tasks
+ Guide and coach team members throughout project phases
+ Provide ongoing feedback and support professional development
Current & Future Project Scope
+ Managing one (1) active project with 60–95L generators, currently in commissioning through Q2 2026
+ Continued involvement in next-phase projects at DLR – Brickyard facility
+ Potential transition to Amazon or NTT accounts during 2026–2027

Qualifications
+ Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in construction
+ Prior data center or large-scale construction project experience strongly preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required (relevant experience may substitute)
+ Proficiency with Excel and Smartsheets
+ Strong ability to plan, align, and execute multiple concurrent projects
