Description We are looking for a dedicated Event and Venue Manager to oversee the coordination and execution of programs and events at a premier venue in Mountain View, California. This role requires expertise in managing event logistics, providing exceptional client experiences, and ensuring seamless operations. As this is a long-term contract position, we seek a detail-oriented individual who can consistently deliver high-quality service and build strong relationships with clients and vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and attend site inspections to ensure venue readiness and functionality.
• Conduct regular venue audits to maintain cleanliness, functionality, and safety standards.
• Manage the venue calendar, oversee space bookings, and ensure smooth scheduling.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and service providers to guarantee seamless event execution.
• Supervise all aspects of event operations, including catering, A/V setup, and technical requirements.
• Develop comprehensive project timelines and communication plans for each event.
• Lead pre-event meetings to align with all stakeholders and address client needs.
• Oversee quality assurance for deliverables from catering, facilities, technology, and other services.
• Ensure attendee privacy, security, and adherence to safety protocols during events.
• Monitor and report on event changes, incidents, and outcomes for continuous improvement. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event planning, project management, or hospitality.
• 2-6 years of proven experience in managing events, programs, or related projects.
• Strong ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
• Expertise in event planning, budgeting, and project coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including delivering well-structured presentations.
• Familiarity with scheduling tools, calendar management, and operational logistics.
• Knowledge of quality assurance practices and safety protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. TalentMatch®
