Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Project Manager a strong technical background in mine closure, mine site remediation, or northern contaminated sites to join our Environment Business Line in support of the Faro Mine Remediation Program. This role supports one of Canada’s largest and most complex mine closure projects. The right candidate can work locally from our Burnaby, BC, Calgary AB or Edmonton, AB office and AECOM can provide hybrid work options to give the flexibility you need to do your best work. This is a regular, full-time position. We are looking for a candidate that has a can-do attitude, is enthusiastic, team-oriented professional, with a strong project management background. The appropriately qualified candidate will have a strong understanding and experience in project management and technical experience related to mine closure, tailings/contaminated materials management, or mine‑site infrastructure decommissioning. This role is an integral part of the Faro Mine Remediation Program delivery team. The successful candidate will contribute to one of Canada’s most significant environmental remediation efforts with opportunities for career development within AECOM. **Responsibilities** Below are example responsibilities you can expect when working within the AECOM team to deliver all phases of the project: * Manage and execute the scope of work under each Task Authorization (TA). * Lead TA-specific meetings and manage coordination with client, stakeholders, and technical team. * Prepare project plans, amendments, and financials, support reporting. * Provide technical leadership and coordination in mine closure and remediation. * Support construction supervision, field programs, and technical reviews. * Track schedule, cost, progress, and risks; Mitigate and manage change. * Liaise with Site Operator for staff logistics, training, and accommodations. * Oversee travel logistics and accommodation schedules. * Respond to submittals, RFIs, and address construction-phase issues. * Accountable for adherence to program safety, environmental, and quality standards. **Qualifications** **Minimum Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related field. + 6+ of experience in mining, mine closure, contaminated sites, or northern remediation. + Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary projects. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Strong interpersonal and organizational skills + Strong client management skills + Valid driver's license + Proficient with MS Office Suite; excellent knowledge of Project, Excel, and Word + Travel to Faro, Yukon **Preferred Qualifications** + P.Eng., P.Geo., PMP, or related designation + 15+ years of experience directly with construction management + Technical background in mine closure, tailings, waste rock, or reclamation. + Experience on large or northern mine remediation programs. + Strong background in QA/QC, risk management and technical review. + Experience with Federal Agencies such as Public Service and Procurement Canada. + Personal Attributes + Highly developed written communication, time management and organizational skills + Demonstrated interpersonal skills; conduct yourself with integrity, work within multi-disciplined teams, deal with complex issues, and maintain effective working relationships + Have a high level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done **Additional Information** **Here, you will have freedom to grow in a world of opportunity.** + We will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
