Job Description Summary

This position provides project management execution focused on Material Transfer Readiness in ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Manufacturing Strategy & Execution Organization (MS&E), in partnership with various Business Units Leaders of Rockwell Automation.

As Project Manager specialized in Material Transfer, you will serve as an Expert & Mentor to all functions, who are involved in Material Transfer Readiness process, through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Scope of projects include manufacturing line transfers/ duplications, manufacturing sites expansions/ downsizing/ start-ups, insourcing/outsourcing.

Core Responsibilities:

Coordinate & supervise Material Transfer Process execution in projects of varying size and scope simultaneouslyEstablish Material Transfer scope, objectives, goals and deliverables in coordination with other Project ManagersDevelop stakeholders’ matrix, manage communications and ensure engagementLead cross-functional & diverse project team, delegate tasksDevelop, execute and monitor Material Transfer Process schedule in adherence to program/project milestonesContribute to project budget & inventory goals adherence to business case and strategic prioritiesServes as Material Transfer business interface with other Rockwell Automation functions and external parties, if applicableDevelop & review Material Transfer Readiness metrics and drive appropriate actions, if neededDetermine & apply project management and scheduling techniques in adherence to Rockwell Automation requirements

Develop and execute PFEP (plan for every part) strategy for manufacturing transfer projects including identifying material scope, cleansing source site data, configuration and data setup at receiving site, and coordination of material transitions to support pilot and production requirements

 Lead coordination Master Scheduler/Finished Goods Planner and plant Production Control Analysts to review inventory planning parameters required to successfully launch manufacturing process and maintain supply chain health during initial production ramp-up

Coordinate material requirements definition, set-up and inventory plans to support pilot builds, as well as acceleration into steady state operations, ensuring material availability for all pilots to support production transfer timeline

May lead internal process improvement efforts

Business Acumen

Education

Master’s in engineering, further education in business, supply chain, operations or project management is a plus

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 10 years related experience (i.e. Production and Inventory Control, Operations, Purchasing, or Manufacturing Engineering)Experience in material control/production planning environment is desirablePMI Project Management training or equivalent is an advantageAPICS Certification ( the standard of professional excellence in supply chain and operations management. The APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) designation demonstrates knowledge and skills in global operations production and inventory activities) is an advantageProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an advantageProven track of Project Manager Competency Profile development plan is an advantageFluent English

Travel:  

Depends on the project scope.

During project initiation phase, less than 10%. During execution / implementation in another location, more than 25%.

Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
