Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER - IT to join our INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY team!

The Information Technology (IT) Project Manager directs discovery, execution, progress reporting, and post-completion audit reporting as applicable for medium- to large-scale projects ranging from application/technology upgrades to multi-entity implementation initiatives. This position assists the IS Manager in maintaining practice guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.  

HOURS: Full-Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks. 

Experience/Qualifications

Knowledge and ability to effectively utilize project portfolio management tools and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project) normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in CIS/CS, Healthcare Informatics, or Health Information Management preferred; or equivalent education and experience. Three to five years’ relevant project management experience preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred. Knowledge of best practices for project management and familiarity with related technologies. Demonstrated leadership skills and sensitivity to organizational politics. Must have the ability to communicate technical information in an easy-to-understand way. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other employees of the organization. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts and graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
