Project Manager II

SUMMARY  

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Manager II to lead projects with professionalism, flexibility, and resourcefulness in a dynamic environment. This role involves managing project quality, timeliness, and safety, mentoring the project team, and developing strong customer relationships through excellent service and communication skills. 

First assignment will be in Cheyenne, WY and then you have the option to return to Denver or continue to travel. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

Prepare proposals, assist in pursuit presentations, and contract negotiations  Manage design engineering projects from concept to completion  Maintain schedule and budget through design completion  Develop and maintain project financial projections  Report on progress, cost, schedule metrics, and any issues requiring support  Determine and allocate project estimate into financial system  Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections  Function as main point of contact with clients and on-site representatives  Provide frequent interactions to build positive relationships and future opportunities 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Electrical or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience   Minimum seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects  Proven ability to fulfill all responsibilities for complex projects  Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks  Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices  Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level  Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills  Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies   Current driver’s license  Travel

The base pay range for this role is $128,300-192,500 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). 

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.  This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. 

Visa sponsorship is offered for this position.
