Job DescriptionWHAT'S THE JOB?
Reporting directly to the Director of Projects, the Project Manager will provide overall administrative direction for several small projects and/or support a large project or two and successfully take responsibility for overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality and project status. The incumbent will oversee operations of the project team including but not limited to coordinators, superintendents, quality control inspectors, while maintaining relationships with sub-trades and clients. The position involves subcontractor negotiations, liaising with owners, engineers, and sub-trades as well as management of technical and financial aspects of contract. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with the Contract, Company Policies and Procedures, and legislation and labour requirements.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Educational and experience requirements include a construction related degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience;Prior experience with Modular construction (including infrastructure) considered an asset;A minimum of 5 years’ construction experience in Industrial, Single and Multi-family Residential and Commercial;Proven experience managing small to medium projects;Experience working with various levels of government;Contract law knowledge and contract management experience;Computer proficiency – Microsoft Office- Work, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.1–3 years in construction delivery (APM/Project Coordinator/Estimator/Scheduler) with hands-on RFIs, submittals, basic scheduling, and change-order support; ready to step into a PM I role.Proven task ownership with measurable outputs (maintained logs, issued look-aheads, tracked costs) and readiness to handle client touchpoints with oversight.Proficiency with core PM tools (MS Project/Primavera, Excel incl. XLOOKUP/pivots); experience with a PM platform (e.g., Procore/SharePoint) is an asset.Additional InformationWHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?
