**Job Description**
Join AECOM as a Historic Structures Project Manager and contribute to the renovation, preservation and restoration of culturally significant properties. This role is critical in confirming project success through meticulous planning, coordination, and execution. You will collaborate with a team of experts dedicated to maintaining the integrity and authenticity of historic structures while integrating modern construction practices.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following** :
+ Conduct detailed assessments of historic properties to identify preservation needs and opportunities.
+ Develop and implement preservation plans that align with client and code compliance requirements.
+ Provide guidance and expertise on preservation techniques and materials to project teams and contractors.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of preservation activities, including reports, photographs, and records.
+ Conduct labor interviews with contractor and subcontractor employees periodically to verify that workers are correctly classified and are being paid the correct wages.
+ Immediately notify the construction contractor, the COR, or other GSA officials if a potentially life-threatening safety condition is observed.
+ Manage and oversee preservation and structural aspects of construction projects, confirming alignment with design intent, quality standards, and project requirements.
+ Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to integrate preservation efforts, resolve design conflicts, improve constructability, and integrate project components seamlessly.
+ Review architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and contract documents to confirm accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with building codes.
+ Conduct site inspections to assess progress, verify compliance with approved designs, and address construction challenges.
+ Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets for preservation and structural work, confirming timely execution and cost control.
+ Support structural testing, inspections, and regulatory compliance to confirm safety and quality standards are met.
+ Manage RFIs, change orders, and design modifications related to architectural and structural elements, confirming proper documentation and approvals.
+ Facilitate project closeout by confirming completion of all historic preservation and structural work, final inspections, and handover documentation.
**Qualifications**
**Minimum Requirements**
+ BA/BS in Architecture, Structural Engineering, or a related field + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Experience working in and around historic properties
**Preferred Requirements** _:_
+ 4 years of experience in project management or a related role.
+ Knowledge of architectural and structural systems, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements.
+ Experience working on federal-managed construction projects.
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills.
+ Proficiency in federal project management tools and software.
+ Certified Construction Management or Project Management Professional or Professional Engineer, Registered Architect, or AIA Certification
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
+ Experience working with federal Project Management Systems.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $115,000.00 - $125,000.00.
