About this Role

W.T. Byler, a Quanta Services Company, is looking for experienced Project Managers with a Heavy Civil background to join our team in the Houston, TX area.

 

W. T. Byler is a leading Site, Civil, Industrial and Railroad turnkey company, with over 52 years of experience. The Project Manager will be responsible for the coordination of engineering, estimating, project controls, client presentations, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the project.

What You'll Do Coordinates engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction activities during the development and execution phase(s) of the projectOversee the development of the initial project schedule in conjunction with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management personnelParticipates in value engineering and constructability reviewsWorks with procurement to develop subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedules exhibits to the contracts for review by PM before processingWorks with the appropriate Safety personnel on all safety-related issues, including but not limited to, development and implementation of the project-specific safety plan, reporting of incidents, and supporting the investigation of incidentsOversee the project schedule and prepare monthly project review reports for the project management team and Senior ManagementAssists with RFI submittals utilizing QISG’s document management systemProvides feedback to improve Quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative deliverables for projectsAssists in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packagesFacilitates Project Close-Out and Warranty administrationPerforms post-construction cost review and reporting and participates in lessons learned What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science/Management, Engineering, or equivalent field work/experience, OR combination of work and education, may be substituted5+ years of Construction Project Management experience, preferably in heavy civil construction or railroad projectsAdditional experience in various aspects of construction planning and management including, but not limited to engineering, estimating, bidding, preparing, and administering purchase orders and subcontracts, scheduling, cost control, document control, etc.Prior working experience or strong knowledge in site work, underground, asphalt, concrete and/or railroad constructionRequired experience with Bluebeam, HCSS/HeavyBid, Cost Control estimating software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Understanding of integrated EPC processStrong organizational and time management skillsTravel Up to 20% or as project needs require What You'll Get
