Reports To: Local Operational Manager
Role Objective
Lead and manage the full execution of the Metro Line 6 construction project. Ensure the timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of all components, aligned with regulatory and contractual compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the design, execution, and technical reporting for Metro Line 6 – Package 2
Serve as company representative with beneficiaries, partners, subcontractors, and authorities
Manage project budgets, including EU-funded components (e.g., POIM, PNRR)
Track and control execution progress—both physical and financial
Address delays, risks, and corrective measures
Ensure alignment with funding body requirements (JASPERS, EIB)
Comply with all legal, contractual, safety, and environmental standards
Manage authorizations, workfront handovers, and documentation
Participate in inspections, audits, and site coordination meetings
Education
Degree in Civil Engineering, Railway, Installations, or Transportation
Postgraduate studies in Project Management preferred
Experience
Minimum 10 years in civil construction or transport infrastructure
Minimum 5 years in a senior technical or project leadership role
Strong preference for metro or urban rail project experience
Experience managing EU-funded infrastructure projects
Certifications
PMP®, IPMA, or PRINCE2 (mandatory or in progress)
HSE or site supervision certifications are a plus
Key Competencies
Strong leadership and negotiation skills
Expertise in public procurement (Law 98/2016), HG 1/2018, and FIDIC
Proficiency in project planning tools (MS Project, Primavera)
Fluent in English—required for dealing with international consultants
