Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Maintenance Project Manager to lead facility-related projects within GMP-regulated environments. This role is responsible for managing maintenance initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating specialized assessments such as door gap evaluations to maintain environmental integrity in controlled areas.

ResponsibilitiesLead and manage facility maintenance and improvement projects across GMP-regulated spaces including laboratories, cleanrooms, and utility areas.Ensure all work complies with GMP regulations, internal quality standards, and safety protocols.Facilitate and oversee door gap assessments to ensure proper containment and compliance with cleanroom and environmental control standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Facilities/Maintenance to align project goals and timelines.Manage external contractors and vendors, ensuring work is completed to specification, on time, and within budget.Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and validation protocols.Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to sr. leadership.Essential SkillsProject management experience in facilities maintenance.Ability to drive facilities improvement projects by identifying issues, tracking trends, assigning action items, and following up.Experience with tracking findings from facilities inspectors and following up as needed.Experience with door access and card access readers.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance or project management within GMP-regulated industries (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device).Strong knowledge of GMP standards, facility validation, and regulatory compliance.Experience conducting or facilitating door gap assessments and understanding their impact on environmental control.Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence and collaborate across departments.Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, CMMS systems).Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.Work Environment

This position is based onsite, requiring a go-getter attitude, independent problem-solving skills, and assertiveness. The ideal candidate is not afraid to escalate concerns when necessary.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Framingham, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $52.00/hr.
