Project Manager (Environmental Planner)

The Planning Project Manager leads environmental and land use planning and permitting projects. This role involves managing teams, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring timely, budget-conscious project delivery. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Project Management:Oversee multiple projects from start to finish.Manage staff, subconsultants, budgets, schedules, and contracts.Monitor project risks and profitability.Planning & Development:Develop scopes, budgets, and proposals.Conduct research, fieldwork, and regulatory reviews.Prepare environmental assessments, land use plans, and permit applications.Lead public meetings and stakeholder engagement.Leadership:Guide and support project teams.Promote staff development and performance.Foster a positive, service-oriented culture.Client & Stakeholder Relations:Serve as primary contact for clients and agencies.Build strong relationships and promote new business.Quality & Safety:Ensure technical quality and regulatory compliance.Address safety concerns proactively.Documentation:Maintain accurate project records and reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s in planning, geography, environmental science, or related field.AICP certification preferred.16+ years of relevant experience.Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.Proficient in GIS, Microsoft Office, and project management tools.This is a condensed job description. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
