Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager Job Description This is a 5‑month contract Project Manager role with a large food and beverage organization based in South Seattle. The Project Manager leads cross-functional project teams to develop and implement new programs and process improvements, ensuring multiple concurrent projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The position follows established program and project management methodologies and involves both on-site and remote work in a collaborative, supportive environment. Responsibilities + Lead project teams and subteams to plan, develop, and implement new programs and process improvements. + Manage multiple projects simultaneously in accordance with established program and project management methodologies. + Gather and document detailed business and technical requirements from stakeholders. + Establish clear project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for each initiative. + Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive project plans using tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet. + Monitor project and program schedules, progress, and costs to ensure delivery on time and within budget. + Track project performance against goals and deadlines, proactively addressing risks and issues. + Help project teams remain on track by coordinating activities, clarifying priorities, and removing obstacles. + Follow up regularly with stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment and timely completion of tasks. + Partner with cross-functional teams, including customs-focused and project management teams, to drive successful implementations. + Communicate project status, changes, and impacts clearly and consistently to stakeholders. + Maintain organized documentation and project artifacts throughout the project lifecycle. + Ensure that implemented solutions meet agreed-upon requirements and deliver the expected results. Essential Skills + 5–7 years of professional project management experience. + Proven ability to lead project teams and subteams through the full project lifecycle. + Strong experience managing multiple concurrent projects using established project management methodologies. + Demonstrated expertise in gathering and documenting requirements from diverse stakeholders. + Ability to establish and manage detailed project timelines, milestones, and schedules. + Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project. + Hands-on experience using Smartsheet for project planning, tracking, and reporting. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage complex projects and competing priorities. + Ability to keep teams aligned and on track toward deadlines and goals. + Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, including clear follow-up and status reporting. + Experience supporting or leading project implementations. + Ability to collaborate and partner effectively with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PMP certification or equivalent formal project management credential. + Experience working with customs-related processes or projects. + Experience managing projects within a large food and beverage or similar manufacturing/distribution environment. + Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented culture. + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality project outcomes. Work Environment This role is based in South Seattle in a large food and beverage organization and operates in a hybrid work model, with on-site work from Monday through Thursday and remote work on Fridays. You will work closely with a kind and collaborative team that values partnership, open communication, and mutual support. The environment involves frequent interaction with cross-functional groups, including a customs-focused team and a dedicated project management team. The position follows structured project management practices and relies on tools such as MS Project and Smartsheet for planning and tracking. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
