The Project Manager will support the engineering department by overseeing customer orders and projects from initiation through delivery. This role coordinates closely with engineering, sales, shop personnel, and vendors to ensure projects move smoothly through the order, design, approval, production, and shipment phases. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Receive and process customer purchase orders, enter them accurately into the ERP system, and create corresponding sales orders.Gather and verify technical information from regional sales personnel and customers to support engineering and project requirements.Coordinate project handoff with design engineers, ensuring all necessary information is complete and clearly documented.Send drawings and related documentation to sales personnel and customers for approval, track approval status, and communicate updates promptly.Oversee detailing activities and the release of prints to the shop, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.Coordinate with shop staff and outside vendors to support production, manage timelines, and resolve issues that may impact delivery.Track project progress from order entry through shipment, maintaining clear visibility into status and proactively addressing delays or risks.Manage multiple concurrent projects and customer orders while maintaining organized, paper-based project packages and records.Maintain consistent communication with internal teams, including engineering, sales, and shop personnel, as well as with external customers.Support the training of new hires by collaborating with current project managers to walk them through established processes and procedures.Align project work with customer-based assignments, managing projects according to major account responsibilities.Handle an average workload of approximately 3–5 orders per day, balancing quick-turn projects and longer tooling projects.Work Environment
The role is based in an office environment with an open workstation setup rather than enclosed cubicles, encouraging collaboration and communication. Standard working hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with a company-wide lunch break from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $36.00/hr.
