Job Description Summary

The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from inception to completion. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

About the Role:

Plan and oversee all phases of construction projects (civil, structural, MEP as applicable)Prepare project schedules, budgets, and resource plansCoordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractorsMonitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelinesEnsure compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standardsImplement and enforce health & safety regulations at siteReview and approve material submittals and method statementsConduct regular site meetings and progress reviewsManage project risks and resolve technical issuesVerify measurements and certify contractor bills in coordination with QS teamEnsure proper documentation, reporting, and record keepingLiaise with clients and stakeholders for updates and approvals

About You:

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and standardsProject planning and scheduling (e.g., Primavera / MS Project)Leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and coordination abilitiesProblem-solving and decision-making skillsKnowledge of safety regulations and quality controlCost control and contract management awareness

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field8–15 years of experience in construction/project managementExperience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects

Preferred Requirements

Experience in handling large-scale projectsKnowledge of FIDIC/contract conditionsCertification in PMP or equivalent (added advantage)

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Project completion within time and budgetQuality compliance and minimal reworkSafety performance (zero/low incidents)Client satisfactionEffective resource utilization
