We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join the Transportation team based in Cork.
We focus on innovative design and technical excellence, fostering a trusted partner approach to delivery with our clients. We are looking for individuals who are creative, organised, self‑motivated, and collaborative with experience in delivering multi‑disciplinary designs. The candidate would ideally be a Chartered Engineer, with experience delivering schemes from concept to detailed design and through the tender and construction phases. The position requires a technical background in engineering as it will be a role involving reporting to and engagement with clients and stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to lead projects of varying size and complexity. Opportunities may also be provided to work in other complementary sectors where skills are transferrable, to meet the individual and business' goals.
Your RoleProject Manager on multi‑disciplinary transportation projects including roads, Active Travel and public realm projects.Contract/Commercial management ownership.Contract administration.Managing projects through all stages i.e. feasibility, optioneering, planning, detailed design, tender and construction stages.Line management and mentoring of more junior staff.Developing tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.Transportation Engineering.About youEducated to degree level (level 8/9 engineering degree).Relevant postgraduate experience, primarily in a consultancy environment.Chartered with Engineers Ireland or equivalent professional institution or very close to attaining that status.Experience in the delivery of multi‑disciplinary transportation (roads, public transport, Active Travel, public realm) projects in Ireland/UK.Experience of developing, implementing, tracking and updating Project Execution Plans, programmes, risk registers and budgets.Experience in preparation and administration of contract documents (Public Works Contract or NEC).Experience of all stages of a project life cycle including feasibility, optioneering, planning, detailed design, tender and construction stages.Ability to manage a multi‑disciplinary design team and ability/ willingness to make project decisions.Strong growth potential to take on more senior roles and responsibilities.Ability to work collaboratively with, report to and manage clients and project stakeholders.An awareness of developing technologies and best practice in the industry.Effective communicator (written, verbal & presentations).A willingness to develop and build client relationships.Full driving licence.Rewards & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.
