Description The Florida Department of Education seeks an experienced Project Manager to support large, high‑profile IT initiatives under the State of Florida’s DMS IT Staff Augmentation contract. The PM will coordinate, manage, and oversee project‑oriented work efforts across multiple interrelated initiatives, ensuring alignment with program goals and organizational requirements. Responsibilities include developing and managing project plans, facilitating communication across stakeholder groups, maintaining status reporting, performing daily monitoring of assigned work, assessing risks, escalating issues, and ensuring overall project stability. The position requires working collaboratively with other PMs, IT units, internal leaders, external partners, and stakeholder groups with competing priorities. Work must adhere to DOE project management guidelines, quality expectations, and state contracting standards. Proficiency is required in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint, and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Experience with Azure DevOps, distributed application architectures, state government, and especially Florida’s Early Learning Coalitions is preferred.
